Who we are

OCDetail SoCal (also known as OCDetail Auto Care, "we" or "us") is a mobile auto detailing business based in Oxnard, California, serving Ventura County. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit ocdetailsocal.com, work with us, or contact us, and what we do with it.

The short version: we only collect what we need to quote, schedule and take care of your vehicle, and we never sell your information.

Information we collect

Contact info: your name, phone number and email.
Service address: where you want us to come, or where we pick up and drop off your vehicle.
Vehicle details: year, make, model, condition and the services you're interested in.
Payment info: payments and invoices run through Square. You enter card details with Square directly, and we never see or store your full card number.
Messages: what you send us by text, phone, email, social media DMs, our website forms, or our Facebook and Instagram ad forms.
Website usage: basic technical info like your browser, device and the pages you visit, collected automatically by our website and the tools on it (see Cookies, ads and Do Not Track below).

How we use it

To give you a quote, schedule your appointment and show up at the right place.
To do the work and take payment.
To send appointment reminders, follow-ups and maintenance check-ins.
To answer your questions and handle any issues with a job.
To improve our website and our ads.
To occasionally let you know about specials or openings. You can opt out of these any time.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't give it to anyone else for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

We only share information with services that help us run the business, and only what they need to do their part:

Square, for payments and invoices. Square's own privacy policy covers what you give them directly.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram), if you message us there or fill out one of our ad forms.
Our website host and the analytics and ad tools on our site.
Team members who help work on your vehicle.
Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect our rights or safety.

If the business is ever sold or reorganized, customer records may move to the new owner, who would have to follow this policy.

Text messages and calls

If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you about quotes, appointments, reminders and follow-ups. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts, or just tell us.

We do not share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with anyone else for their marketing.

Photos of your vehicle

We sometimes take before-and-after photos and videos of the vehicles we work on and post them on our website and social media. We try to keep license plates and personal items out of those shots.

If you'd rather we not post your vehicle, let us know before or after the job. We'll respect that and take down anything already posted.

Cookies, ads and Do Not Track

Our website and the tools on it may use cookies and similar technology to keep the site working, see how people use it, and measure and show our ads. For example, we may use the Meta Pixel when we run Facebook and Instagram ads.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and change your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings. Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Our site doesn't currently respond to them, but the cookie and ad controls above still work.

How long we keep it and how we protect it

We keep your information while you're a client and for a reasonable time afterward for our records, taxes, and any follow-up on work like ceramic coatings. After that, we delete it or stop using it.

Whether records are digital or on paper, we take reasonable steps to keep them secure. No system is perfectly secure, though, so we can't guarantee it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

Tell you what information we have about you.
Correct anything that's wrong.
Delete your information, unless we need to keep it for legal or tax reasons.
Stop sending you marketing texts or emails.

California residents: we do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties for their own direct marketing.

Children

Our services are for vehicle owners and aren't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page.
